One of our longtime clients from Lehighton brought his new 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 to us to add some accessories to it. This new-to-him truck was great, but he wanted our experts to add the parts and technology that would make it perfect.
First, we attacked the old radio, swapping it for a new Sony XAV-AX5500 unit that adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality. This allows hands-free calling and messaging while he’s driving, and provides always up-to-date navigation mapping through Apple Maps or Google Maps. We added a tailgate handle integrated backup camera to provide safe parking maneuvers and prevent any accidents.
A new frameless Gentex mirror with Homelink allows the client to open his garage door without having the remote clipped to his visor, preventing theft when his truck is parked. We also added a new Compustar CSX1900S remote start that includes a DroneMobile receiver for easy control of the vehicle’s features from his smartphone when he is away from the truck.
In short, we added quite a bit of new technology to make life easier and more secure for him, and he loved it.
