It all started a few weeks ago. A customer found us on the internet while looking for a place to get his windows tinted on his new 2008 Ford Fusion. He called us and we spoke on the phone for a while. He decided to take a ride to our store to see what else we had to offer.
When he arrived, Bob checked out his car and gave him all of his options for window tinting. Our customer told Bob that he was also thinking about doing an audio system. Bob showed him the Hertz and Audison displays and our customer was amazed. He basically told us that they are the very best sounding speakers that he had ever heard (no argument from us!).
What was a little unusual about this sale was how it all came together. Our customer did not make a decision that day. Instead, he corresponded with Bob and myself via email for about 2 weeks. He did his homework and soon found out that Hertz and Audison are widely respected as one of the world’s finest speaker and amp manufacturers.
So last week, he and his wife came in to finalize everything and to set up the appointment. Since he has steering wheel controls and a fairly integrated dash, he opted to stick with his factory radio. This was no problem since the Audison SRX5.1 amplifier that he chose has a very high end interface built in to allow for factory integration. No adapters were necessary.
From there, the output went to 3 pair of speakers all located in the factory locations. The front doors got a set of the Hertz Hi Energy HSK165 6.5″ component speakers. These are the very best sounding speakers (IMHO) available for under $800… And they cost less than $400!
The back doors got a pair of Hertz Hi Energy HCX570 coaxials. In the rear deck, we installed a pair of Hi Energy HCX690 coaxials. All the doors and the rear deck were completely covered in Dynamat. This is EXTREMELY important when installing high end speakers.
The customer opted for a 5 channel amp so that he can add a subwoofer down the road. While this system will certainly benefit from a sub, you would be amazed at the low end response! If you didn’t know any better, you could easily be fooled into thinking that there is a sub in the trunk!
The end result is a system that is completely stock but has studio quality sound. The highs are strong but not overwhelming and the mids and highs are powerful and clear. This is one of the very best sounding systems that I have heard in a long while. Oh yeah… He got his windows tinted also!

This is a great after market stereo setup. Hertz Audio really is the best you can get between sound quality and price. The custom work to this car is great. The best customer service around the area! They will take the time to make sure things are right! A list store!
