One of our valued repeat clients from Lehighton brought his new 2014 Volkswagen Passat to our team for a speaker upgrade. We had installed a Sony radio, an Audison amplifier and Hertz subwoofers in his previous Audi A4, and we transferred the same system to his new Passat. After a few months, he was tired of the sub-standard sound from the factory speakers upfront and wanted an upgrade.
We recommended the Sony Mobile ES XS-162ES component speakers for an upgrade. We handcrafted milled speaker brackets to mount the woofers properly in the front doors of the Passat, and found that the included tweeters fit perfectly under the dash grille covers. While we had the doors disassembled for the speaker installation, we added damping material to reduce road noise and improve the sound quality that the client experienced from this audio upgrade.
