A repeat client from Nesquehoning was looking for a technology upgrade to the factory Kicker audio system in his 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. The factory system sounded decent, but the phone connectivity and integration was not what the client was expecting, and he needed an upgrade.
Our client selected a Pioneer AVH-W4500NEX radio to replace the factory radio. This new unit adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to fully integrate useful phone apps like Google Maps and most music sources from a phone directly into the dashboard of the car. We used a harness to retain the factory backup camera and ran the signal from it to the Pioneer radio. We retained the Subaru Starlink safety system, ensuring full functionality of the vehicle in emergency situations.
