We recently added a subwoofer upgrade to a repeat Allentown, PA, client’s 2017 Subaru Crosstrek for better audio performance, and we were able to craft the enclosure so there was no negative impact on cargo area access.
This client reached out to us since we had previously upgraded the vehicle’s speakers and added an amplifier under a front seat to keep it out of the way. She wanted this addition to really put the system upgrade over the top.
We handcrafted the subwoofer enclosure into the right side of the cargo area, formed it to the vehicle’s interior panels by using fiberglass, and then covered it in black automotive grade carpet to blend it to the cargo-area esthetics so it did not stand out. We designed it to fit to allow full access to the cargo area opening, and to allow her to continue using the cargo net and other features of the vehicle. We created the perfect enclosure for the Hertz 10-inch DS25 subwoofer, which appears to be factory-installed. Attention to small details like this separates us from our competition.
