A repeat client from Walnutport brought his awesome 1972 Dodge Challenger to our team to look at getting an audio system upgrade. The original radio panel was broken and would require having us fabricate a new panel, and a new panel would also have to be created for the speaker pod in the dashboard. Our crew broke out our custom fabrication skills and got to work.
We chose a Sony MEX-GS620BT radio because its DIN-sized chassis would fit well in our newly created radio panel. The Bluetooth functionality allows for hands-free calling, and streaming of popular audio apps like Spotify and Pandora. This radio powers a set of Memphis Car Audio PR42V2 4″ coaxial speakers to fill the cabin with his tunes.
All of the audio components and custom panels fit like a glove and looked like a factory upgrade. The icing on the cake was setting the custom-color backlighting on the radio to match his lime-green exterior paint.
