A repeat client from Barnesville brought his 2017 Harley-Davidson by to see our team about upgrading the sound on it. He loves good sound, and decided it was time to upgrade his toy with a better sound system to enjoy while cruising. We jumped at the chance and got to work on putting together a sound upgrade for him.
We started by replacing the factory Harley radio with an Aquatic AV AQ-MP-5UBT-HS radio that is meant for exactly that purpose. This waterproof source unit adds SiriusXM Satellite Radio and a screen that provides detailed information about what is playing. We piped the signal from that into a four-channel Hertz HMP4D marine amplifier and connected it to his new Hertz HMX65S speakers. We mounted the amplifier inside the fairing for protection against the weather, and mounted the speakers in the fairing, just like the factory ones would be.
