Cherryville Client’s 2005 Celica Gets a Complete Audio Upgrade

This Cherryville client had a cherry of a Celica. Except for the audio system. That was kind of the pits. There was an aftermarket radio already installed that was pretty much in working order so we decided to leave that be after cleaning up some of its wiring.  The rest of the system was about to meet the chopping block, Honest Abe style. The front factory speakers were replaced with a pair of Hertz Dieci series components. The doors were treated with Hushmat around the speaker locations to damp the sheet metal and cover any air gaps around the speaker. We also used foam wave guides to help cancel the back wave and funnel the sound from the speakers through the factory speaker grill. A Hertz HCP4 four channel amplifier was added to the system to power the front speakers and sub woofers. A pair of Memphis Power Reference 10″ woofers in a slot vented enclosure provided the boom to knock squirrels out of trees. After tuning the system up it was time to enjoy the fruits of our labor and this one was a bowl of cherries!
