A repeat client with a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado came to Mobile Edge in Lehighton looking for several truck accessories for his vehicle. We met this guy while we were working on his wife’s Jeep and he noticed that we carried all the products he wanted to outfit his truck. While he was in our store, we worked through different options that made sense for him.
He travels extensively for business, so his wife surprised him with a batch of upgrades. While he was away, we added the products, and she picked him up at the airport with the finished truck. As you can imagine, he was one happy camper.
Products Designed for Active Lifestyle
First and foremost, you need to know that his client is an avid outdoorsman. Many people like to call this an active lifestyle. One of his favorite things to do is kayak, so you can imagine he spends time off-road in search of that next great spot on the water. All of our upgrades were designed to protect the Silverado and improve the client’s enjoyment of life spent outside.
The First Stage is Protecting the Truck
The first step in our upgrades was installing all of the protection products. We installed a set of Bushwacker OE Style fender flares along with a set of Lund rocker panel guards. Their purpose is to protect the vehicle from all the mud and grime it would get into while exploring off-road.
A set of Auto Ventshade side window deflectors allows the client to get fresh air into the truck in adverse conditions and the bug shield helps protect the hood from all the muck kicked up while he is driving.
Lund Bull Bar Adds Front-end Impact
The next step was to install a Lund bull bar that has an integrated LED light bar built right into it. It continues with the rugged look we were after, protects the front end from minor damage and gives the client incredibly improved forward vision at night.
N-Fab Steps Improve Versatility
Any good truck needs a set of steps, and in this case, the N-Fab wheel-to-wheel adjustable step bars fit the ticket. They are a rugged design that features a pair of steps for each door that is adjustable in nature. We added a third step to the bar to allow the client to access his kayak on the soon-to-be-installed overhead rack. The textured black finish fits with the outdoor theme and is extremely durable.
Amp Research Bed Extender Keeps Cargo in Place
If you have ever owned a truck, you have experienced times when an extra 2 feet of bed would be helpful. The Amp Research Bed Extender does that for you by using the tailgate as part of the bed. The extender swings out over the top of the tailgate, keeping extra large items in place. When the tailgate is closed, the extender works to keep cargo from flying all over the bed. Best of all, it can be removed completely in a matter of seconds should the need arise.
Custom Switch Panel with Future Upgrades in Mind
In the lower part of the dash, this Silverado had a small compartment that could be used to hold small items. The team at Mobile Edge repurposed the area to hold a custom switch panel. One of the switches controls the LED light bar in the Lund bull bar. We installed the last two switches to control two sets of LED cube-style lights to go in the bed area to illuminate around the truck when the client gets back to it at the end of a day of exploring nature.
Chevrolet Silverado Truck Accessories Make the Client Smile
When the wife picked up our client from the airport in the newly outfitted Silverado truck, he was overjoyed with the accessories; he was grinning from ear to ear. And that made our day.
