A client from over in Sciota contacted Mobile Edge about having the windows of his incredible 2020 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 tinted. The client had a vision for his Summit White hot rod to further the white-on-black theme. After showing the client a few film options, he settled on our premium heat-rejecting film in a nice dark shade.
Camaro Window Tint Adds Comfort and Style
We set our computer-controlled film plotter to work cutting 3M Ceramic IR film in a 15% VLT shade for the side and rear windows of this amazing Camaro. First, our team began cleaning the glass to ensure that no specs of dust or debris were caught under the film. Once prepared, we applied the slip agent that allows us to position the film perfectly, then we squeegeed the film in place. We finished by wiping down the area around the glass to remove any water from the installation process.
The client asked us to add a sun visor strip across the top of the windshield. He wanted the darkest shade of film we had, so we loaded a roll of 5% into the plotter and set it to work. The installation of the sun strip, which is sometimes called an eyebrow, requires the same systematic glass preparation process as the side and rear windows.
The client chose the Ceramic IR film not only for its appearance but its ability to block two-thirds of the infrared heat energy from the sun. This reduction in infrared transfer helps keep the car cooler in summer. As a premium 3M window tint product, the film is backed by a limited lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, fading or turning purple. That warranty is good anywhere in the country, so the client’s covered even if he moves to California or Maine.
Pennsylvania’s Automotive Window Tint Experts
After a few hours of work, we had this amazing Camaro looking great. We think the tint enhances the car’s aggressive “stormtrooper” look. The client was thrilled with the installation and loved the upgrade in appearance.
