A Germansville client we had worked with in the past came to see us about adding a remote start to his 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe. He wanted a system that would report the status of his vehicle back to him, so we recommended a Compustar two-way remote start. We used a Compustar T9 remote package to provide this communication between him and the Hyundai.
Since having a remote start is primarily about convenience, we took it one step farther and were able to integrate turning his rear defrost on when the car is remote started. Coming out to a toasty-warm vehicle with the windows already clear is a huge advantage in the harsh Pennsylvania winter.
We added a set of WeatherTech side window deflectors to reduce wind noise when the windows are down a bit, which will also help in the summer when the temperature rises and the interior can be vented.
