Hummer Backup Camera Improves Drivability and Safety

The Hummer H3t has a bit of a blind spot. Anywhere behind it. Maybe the folks at GM figured “It’s a Hummer, why would you need to back up?” Lucky for this client from New Tripoli, PA we install Hummer backup cameras! We started by replacing the stock radio with a touch screen receiver from JVC.  The unit added Bluetooth, iPod, satellite radio and DVD, to the source mix while retaining the factory installed OnStar system. From there we mounted a camera in the rear locking handle.  This vastly improves the driver’s ability to see  while backing up. The system was installed so that the screen in the dash automatically switches over to the camera’s video feed when the truck is put in reverse.  The video feed is also available in any gear with a touch of a button on the radio. This feature makes it easy to keep an eye on a trailer, change lanes and merge in traffic.
