A client from Walnutport received a 2014 Kia Optima remote starter as a gift. The Optima is an ideal candidate for a Compustar remote car starter because the computer in the car controls so many of its functions. This particular vehicle features a push-to-start system. Integrating with keyless entry and push-to-start vehicles is a breeze.
We installed the client’s remote car starter and the 1WG6-AM remote control kit. This remote, called the Prime G6, features four buttons for easy control of locking, unlocking and starting, along with a button for trunk release. We also connected the rear window defroster to the system. When the client starts the vehicle and the temp sensor in the brain detects that it’s cold enough outside, the defroster turns on automatically.
The Prime G6 remote provides up to 1,000 feet or range, or what we call 2x power. Range is dependent on geography, buildings and radio frequency interference. This is more than enough power to allow the customer to start his car from anywhere in his house.
The client was happy to have his remote starter installed just in time for the colder weather.
