When this Kunkletown, Pa client wanted a stereo that could be driven as hard as his 2007 Mitsubishi Lancer, he chose Mobile Edge to bring the system up to speed. The factory radio was upgraded to an aftermarket JVC unit adding Bluetooth connectivity for hands free phone calls and streaming music, as well as a USB connection for integrating devices like an iPod or USB flash drive. From there the audio signal was routed to a Hertz five channel amplifier to make sure the sound stayed clear, even when the volume of the system was up. The amp was mounted on a steel amp rack that was fabricated in-house at Mobile Edge. The rack was made to give the amp a sturdy place to mount with out giving up trunk space.
The factory speakers were replaced with a much richer sounding pair of Hertz Dieci component speakers in the front factory locations and a coaxial pair to round out the sound in the rear stock locations. Both speaker locations were treated with sound damping material to maximize the mid range response and really bring the sound to life. The final component was a sealed enclosure for a pair of twelve inch Hertz subwoofers in the trunk. Once the system was installed and tuned this Lancer was ready to rock.
