A client from Jim Thorpe contacted the Mobile Edge team to inquire about installing a remote starter in his 2005 Ford Mustang. What made this project a bit different from most is that the car had a manual transmission. This type of vehicle doesn’t present an issue for us, though — the Compustar starters we offer are designed to allow them to start safely even in cars with manual transmissions. The hardware ensures the vehicle’s transmission is in neutral before the car is locked to ensure it will be safe to start the next morning or after work.
Our team integrated the starter system into the vehicle and connected one of the T9 two-way LCD remotes to the control module. This remote offers 6x power range so the owner can start the car from inside a building. The two-way communication ensures he knows when the vehicle is running and that the doors are locked.
