A client from Palmerton brought his 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse to Mobile Edge in Lehighton for a new radio and backup camera system. We have done work for this client several times before, so he knew exactly who would be able to help him.
We proposed the Pioneer AVH-4200NEX Double-DIN receiver with CarPlay and Android Auto. Since the client and his family use both Apple iPhone- and Android-based smartphones, we ran dual USB extensions to make connectivity easy. The CarPlay and Android Auto interfaces let the owner make phone calls, send and receive text messages, and choose the music he wants to hear, all by just talking to the radio.
The high trunk line of this car makes it a perfect candidate for a backup camera system. We mounted the camera above the license plate and ran the wiring through the car. As soon as the client puts the transmission in reverse, the camera image appears.
