We are progressing through the build process on our 2016 Volkswagen Jetta demo car here at Mobile Edge in Lehighton, Pennsylvania. We have already installed a fantastic remote starter with DroneMobile smartphone integration; now it’s time to choose window tint. Our client base varies – some want the best, some have a budget. We decided that we would go with 3M Crystalline film to show just how amazing it is.
We rolled Mike’s Jetta into the bay and installed 40% film on the side and rear windows. The 40% film isn’t overly dark, so it’s still easy to see your surroundings at night. Where the Crystalline film shines is in its thermal barrier performance. The film rejects 97% of infrared energy and 59% of total solar energy, as well as 99.9% of UV light for an effective Sun Protection Factor of more than 1,700.
The results in the vehicle are amazing. As you are driving, you don’t feel the heat of the sun on your arm. The air conditioning system has a much easier time keeping the car cool.
