Hey, Mobile Edge family and past customers! We’ve got some exciting news to share with you, so buckle up!
For the first time in its history, Mobile Edge has a new owner! As of noon today, our skilled installation manager and window tint specialist, Ben Tuckett has taken the wheel. Get ready for a great ride!
“Taking ownership of Mobile Edge is a dream come true for me,” says Tuckett. “I’ve always been passionate about car audio and providing exceptional service to our customers. This opportunity allows me to take that passion to new heights.”
Since 1994, when Schaffer’s Safe & Sound (Mobile Edge’s original name) was established, our main goal has been to provide top-notch products, installations, and customer service. Now, I’m absolutely thrilled to pass the torch to someone like Ben, who’s driven by the same mission. Ben’s commitment to excellence is unbeatable, with a perfect attendance record and outstanding attention to detail in the install bay.

Past clients, don’t worry – everything remains the same! Your warranties and gift cards are safe, and there are no immediate plans to change the product lines or policies that have served you well for almost three decades. However, with Ben, a young and energetic 31-year-old, leading the charge, expect an invigorating spark of passion and innovation at Mobile Edge!
Hailing from Andreas, PA, Ben loves hiking, kayaking, and everything outdoors. His car audio passion ignited in high school, and after exploring other industries, Ben finally found his true calling at Mobile Edge in 2017. Now, just 6 years later, he’s the proud owner of the company!

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the community I grew up in,” says Ben. “Mobile Edge has been my home away from home for years, and I’m excited to take on this new role and contribute to its growth and success.”
In the coming months, I’ll be working closely with Ben, helping him steer through the transition and master the administrative side of the business. I’m beyond excited to see where Ben’s vision takes Mobile Edge in the years to come.
“Having the support and guidance of the previous owner during this transition is invaluable,” says Ben. “I’m fortunate to have a mentor who has built such a reputable business.”
Before I go, I wanted to offer a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has made Mobile Edge the success that it is today. From past employees and our awesome customers to the many people who I’ve called “mentor” throughout the years. Building Mobile Edge was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. And I wouldn’t change a thing!
