A recent client from Nesquehoning found Mobile Edge through our online reviews when he was in search of a new radio and amplifier for his 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The client wanted to upgrade his system so he could use applications like Pandora, and he wanted the overall sound to be louder. He previously had a friend install a radio and an aftermarket backup camera, but quickly became unhappy with the sound and fit of the radio, as well as the camera that was screwed into the bumper.
After discussing his options, our product specialists and the client agreed that the Pioneer DMH4600 multimedia receiver would be the best replacement radio. We also decided to install a Hertz powersports 4-channel amplifier underneath the front seat to add power to the factory speakers and create the louder experience that the client requested.
Our team of experts began the installation by removing the factory radio to make way for the new Pioneer unit. We used an iDatalink Maestro module and radio installation kit to integrate directly with the factory infotainment system, and a backup camera replacement kit by Metra Electronics that uses the OEM housing to maintain a factory appearance.
Once the installation was complete, we showed the client the new radio, amplifier and camera. To say he was pleased is an understatement!
