A long-time client from Nesquehoning contacted us about upgrading his son’s 2017 Ford Edge. The trim package they chose didn’t include an option for satellite radio and he also wanted to add a remote car starter to the little SUV. After meeting with Bob to discuss the starter system, we scheduled an appointment to begin the upgrades.
To add SiriusXM to the Edge, we installed a VAIS Technology GSR-041 interface and an SXV300V1 tuner. The interface allows the tuner to work with the factory radio through the USB port. This digital connection not only ensures excellent sound quality, but provides album and song title information on the radio display.
The client chose a Compustar CS910-S remote starter solution. This package includes a pair of one-way remote controls that offer up to 800 feet of range. That’s more than twice the distance offered by factory remote starter systems.
Our team of technicians integrated the starter into the Ford, ensuring each connection was both mechanically and electrically secure for reliable operation. Once we were done, we showed the client how to use the starter and satellite radio systems.
