A repeat client from Wilkes-Barre came to Mobile Edge in Lehighton in search of a new radio for her 2016 Honda Civic. She liked her factory radio, but she really wanted to have Apple CarPlay so she could play tunes with Amazon Music. We say she’s a repeat client, because we previously installed a wireless charger in the Civic for her.
After discussing multiple radio options, the client chose the Sony XAV-9500ES as the perfect radio for her vehicle. Once the radio was chosen, our team of experts began the installation process. We started by removing the factory radio to make way for the new one. Since the new Sony radio fits differently in the dash, we used installation parts from Metra Electronics to mount the radio securely in the dash, as well as integrate it with the vehicle’s existing sound system. With these parts, we were also able to retain her steering wheel controls and her backup camera.
When we were all finished, we presented the vehicle to the client. She was excited that the new Sony radio had wireless Apple CarPlay, which made her wireless charger even more handy.
