An Allentown client who found Mobile Edge through our website brought in his 2016 Ford F-150 to have the running boards replaced. He found that the OEM step bars were too high, making it difficult for him and his wife to enter and exit the vehicle. After we presented multiple running board options to the client, he chose the Amp Research 7615101a power steps.
Once the client had chosen the perfect running boards, our technicians went to work to get them installed. We started by removing the existing OEM step bars to make way for the new power step bars. Once that was complete, our technicians began running the necessary wiring to power the Amp Research steps. Then we secured the mounting brackets and installed the power steps onto them.
These new power steps were the best of both worlds: They disappear when the doors are closed, but provide ease of entry and exit when the doors are open.
