A local dealership was having issues with a client’s 2019 Polaris Razor, so they contacted our expert team to help troubleshoot and solve the issues. Speakers had been installed in a roof panel, and the client was hearing consistent noise and interference in the audio system whenever the vehicle was on. We dove in to investigate and help the dealership and their client.
After looking through the work that had been done, we straightened some things up and upgraded a few items. We found that the noise was being caused by the fuel pump. The amplifier that had been installed was picking it up and then amplifying it to all six speakers that were installed in the roof panel. After we cleaned up the wiring and replaced the previously installed amplifier with a Hertz Marine & Powersports HMP4D, the noise was gone. When we also upgraded the existing radio antenna for greater reception, and the job was complete. The dealership was thankful, and the client was happy listening to what sounded like a completely new audio system.
