Ram 1500 Stereo System, Accessories & Tint for Palmerton Client

A client from Palmerton dropped by Mobile Edge to inquire about upgrading his 2014 Ram 1500 stereo system and adding some accessories. The client wanted to modernize the features and technology of his truck and add a smartphone integration solution. He also wanted a new front bumper with an integrated winch and upgraded LED lighting. We worked with the client to find solutions that met his performance and style preferences and budget.

Pioneer Ram 1500 Stereo Source Unit Upgrade

Tire pressure and battery voltage are just a few of the things the client can monitor.

A variety of gauge options are available.

The client chose a Pioneer AVH-4200NEX multimedia receiver with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Having both smartphone integration solutions would ensure that he could use the radio, even if he switched phone brands in the future. The large 7-inch display makes it easy to see what song is playing or navigation information. We added a SiriusXM SXV300V1 satellite radio receiver to allow the client to enjoy whatever music he wants, anytime, anywhere.

We used an ADS Maestro RR integration module to allow the Pioneer receiver to communicate with the truck’s CAN bus data network. The RR provides access to climate control, tire pressure and battery voltage information and a vehicle information display. The client can choose five different gauges to display information such as vehicle speed, engine RPM, fuel level or air intake temperature.

Go Rhino Replacement Front Bumper

The winch was securely fastened to the front bumper.

The upgraded bumper provides multiple levels of safety for the client.

The rugged front bumper really sets this Ram apart.

To give the truck a more aggressive look and provide a secure mounting location for a winch, we installed a Go Rhino 24128T BR5 Series replacement bumper. We mounted a Trail FX W08B 8,000-lb. winch to the bumper and added a set of 24173t knurled thumbscrews to allow the client to access the winch without the need for tools. The final addition was a 26273T light bar mount.

Trail FX LED Lighting

The new front lighting provides much more visibility for the client.

The light bar fit perfectly on the front bumper.

The two floodlights help augment the light from the lightbar.

We installed two Trail FX LED lighting systems to enhance the client’s visibility at night or when on the trail. A set of 2122142P cube-style LED floodlights is mounted in the Go Rhino grille. These lights provide even coverage when setting up and using the winch. A single Trail FX 20-inch 1320151 light bar is secured to the underside of the Go Rhino light bracket. This light provides a combination of long-distance visibility, thanks to the 32 narrow-focus center LEDs. Foreground lighting coverage is provided by four flood-pattern LEDs on either end of the light bar.

3M and WeatherTech Window Treatment

The front windows were tinted to match the back ones.

We installed 3M Color Stable window tint on the front windows to give them the same look as the rear windows. A set of WeatherTech 84503 side window deflectors allow the client to roll the window down a bit without rain getting into the vehicle.

Our modifications made a huge difference on this truck.

After a couple days of work, it was finally time for the client to check out his upgraded Ram 1500 stereo and the new accessories. He was thrilled with the way the new bumper looked and couldn’t believe how much light the Trail FX lights produced. We showed him how to use his smartphone with the new radio to send text messages, make phone calls and choose the music he wants to hear.
