A new client from Sugarloaf who had been referred to our team by a friend contacted us about upgrading the factory step bars on his 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe. He wanted something unique for his truck and had heard from his friend that we could help get his step bars replaced with something much cooler.
We showed him our demo truck, which has an assortment of accessories on it to preview, and the Amp Research PowerSteps on it were exactly what he was looking for.
After removing his factory step bars, we attached the brackets for the new step bars, which required no new holes or cutting to the truck. These steps detect the door being opened and extend down to provide an LED-lit step for each side of the truck. When the doors are closed, the step retracts, provideing plenty of clearance for road debris and snow and making the bars nearly invisible on the truck. This also keeps the steps cleaner while the client is driving through mud and slush.
