A repeat client from Middleport brought his 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche to Mobile Edge in search of a more-spacious running board option. The client found the OEM step bars to be too narrow, and practically unusable in wet or icy conditions. After a thorough discussion with the client about his ideas for the perfect running boards, we agreed that the Westin 93-inch running board would be the best choice for this application.
With the running boards chosen, our technicians went to work to install them. We started by removing the existing OEM step bars. Once that was done, our technicians securely mounted the new Westin brackets. When the brackets were mounted, our installation experts finished by securing the running board platforms to the brackets. These larger platforms provide more space and surface area for entering and exiting the vehicle, and they also improve the overall style of the truck.
