A repeat client from Saylorsburg brought his daughter’s 2012 Ford Escape to Mobile Edge for a new radio and front speakers. He wanted to buy the equipment and have it installed for his daughter as a gift, since it would add Android Auto and Bluetooth features and improve general sound quality. After presenting him with multiple radio options, he decided the Sony XAV-AX7000 would be perfect radio for his daughter. He also chose the Hertz Dieci Series DCX165 speakers for the front doors.
With the radio chosen, our team of experts got to work on installing it. We started by removing the factory radio to make way for the new Sony unit. Since the new radio would fit differently from the factory equipment, we used a Metra Electronics dash kit to mount it securel. To integrate the new radio with the existing steering wheel controls, sound system and subwoofer, we used a vehicle-specific iDatalink Maestro interface. Once the radio was in place, we installed the Hertz 6.5-inch speakers securely in the factory locations of the front doors.
The client was thrilled with the upgrade, and assured us his daughter would be just as excited.
