The Slatington owner of this brand-new 2021 GMC Terrain contacted Mobile Edge in Lehighton to ask if we had a way to add SiriusXM satellite radio to his vehicle. The client was excited about the new vehicle, but was disappointed that satellite radio wasn’t an option. After some quick research, we found a solution that would integrate into the vehicle cleanly and let him listen to whatever genre of music he wanted to hear.
The satellite radio upgrade involved integrating a VAIS Technology GSR-GM03 module into the vehicle. Working with an SXV300V1 satellite radio tuner, the module feeds audio into the factory-installed radio using the USB port in the center console. We made the plug removable so the client can plug in his phone or a memory stick to play music.
