The team here at Mobile Edge in Lehighton may not be in the shop, but we are still talking to each other every day. We thought it would be interesting, educational and perhaps fun to share some ideas with our clients and friends on ways to beat the boredom. To kick off our Staying Home Tips, let’s talk about one way to keep your car or truck happy.
Your Car or Truck Misses You
You’ve likely seen the meme asking if everyone is getting three weeks to a gallon of fuel. We are using our cars and trucks less than ever while being cooped up like this. That doesn’t mean that they don’t need a little TLC so that they’re ready and raring to go when this situation passes.
Take Care of Your Car Battery
Even when we are using our vehicles every day, car batteries take a beating. They tasked with providing hundreds of amps of current to start the vehicle, then we make a short drive to work or the store and hope that the battery is ready to go when it’s time to go home. It can take quite a while to restore that energy. Your best bet to keep your vehicle happy is to borrow or invest in a small battery maintainer. Choose a solution that has some intelligence built in to make sure the battery isn’t overcharged. Companies like Battery Tender, CTEK, Schumacher and Noco make great solutions that are plug-and-play.
If we’ve added a DroneMobile telematics interface to your vehicle, you will receive notifications if the battery voltage is getting low. These reminders are a great way to prevent you from being stranded somewhere with a dead battery.
Have Fun Staying Safe
More than ever, keeping ourselves engaged and entertained is crucial. If you have any questions for the Mobile Edge team, we’d love to help! Feel free to comment or message us on our Facebook page. Others are likely thinking about the same thing. Until we see you face-to-face again, stay safe!
