A recent client from Durham found Mobile Edge via the BestCarAudio Dealer Locator when he was in search of a sound upgrade and a new bed cover for his 2005 Toyota Tundra. The Tundra had a factory JBL system that had, understandably, worn down over the years. He wanted to upgrade his sound to something better than stock, but without getting too complicated. The client also mentioned he wanted to replace his bed cover. Our product specialists showed the client several speaker and radio combinations, as well as bed cover options for his truck.
After consideration, he chose the Sony XAV-AX7000 high-power media receiver to run a set of Hertz CK 165 L component speakers in the front and a pair of Hertz CX 165 coaxial speakers in the rear. He also chose a BAKflip G2 hard folding tonneau cover to replace his existing bed cover.
Our team of experts began installing the speakers and radio by carefully removing the dash and door panels to replace the equipment behind them. Once the speakers and radio were installed, we removed the client’s existing tonneau cover to make way for the new folding cover.
We then showed the client how to use the new technology in the radio, including Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth, and obtain the enhanced sound from the upgrade. He was very pleased!
