The STi is known for it’s all weather performance. At, Mobile Edge we are renowned for our remote car starters and installation. That being said, it was a match made in heaven for our Slatington client. At this point, a lot of people reading this are probably thinking the same thing: “The STi has a manual transmission and you can’t have a remote start installed in a manual transmission vehicle.” The fact is this; a remote car starter can be safely installed in a manual or automatic transmission vehicle.
At Mobile Edge vehicle integrity and safety are a primary concern on EVERY installation. To this point every remote starter we install includes a safety switch that prevents the vehicle from starting if the vehicles hood is open. In the case of a manual transmission vehicle, like the 2004 Subaru STi, with the proper unit and installation practices, a remote car start can be installed. Not only installed, but convenient and easy to use. By monitoring the gear position and points of entry manual transmission systems will only initiate the remote starting sequence when the vehicle can be started safely. Some shops may tell you it can’t be done, but then some shops also cut corners. If you have questions on how this or any remote car starter will work in your vehicle stop in or give us a call. You’ll be glad you did.
