A repeat client from Lehighton recently brought her 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee back to Mobile Edge for a radio and technology upgrade. We had recently added a remote starter to this client’s Jeep, and she decided it was time to upgrade her radio. She wanted all of the features in her factory radio to work seamlessly with the new radio as well. After we presented to her with multiple options, the client decided the Sony XAV-9500ES was the perfect fit for this application.
Our team of experts began the installation by removing the factory equipment to make way for the new Sony radio. Once the factory radio was removed, we began the integration process so the radio would continue the same features as before. We accomplished this by using the Sirius-XM SXV300V1 to retain her satellite radio (including the overhead display feature). We also used the iDatalink Maestro MRR module with the JGC1 dash kit to make the radio look and interact as if it were from the factory — air controls and all. Once we had installed the integration components, we ran wiring and connected the Momento MR-C300 backup camera.
We then contacted the client to return to pick up her vehicle, and showed her all the features of her new technology upgrades. She was very pleased!
