A client from here in Lehighton, Pennsylvania, brought his 2012 Toyota Highlander to Mobile Edge to have us tint the driver and passenger windows. The rear windows had the factory-installed privacy glass, and he wanted the remaining two to match. While here, he noticed we carried several accessories for cars and trucks. A set of running boards and window deflectors caught his attention. We provided the customer with a quote for the added items and were able to install the Toyota Highlander truck accessories after tinting the windows.
A Perfect Match
The front two windows were tinted so the truck glass would have a uniform look.
We used 3M Color Stable tint on the front door glass. 3M window film products have proven themselves for years as being of amazing quality, offering exceptional optical clarity and resistance to scratching. 3M films don’t fade or turn purple like some inexpensive films. With a 20% light transmission rating, the front windows now match the rear windows of the truck.
One benefit of window tint is that the film blocks a great deal of heat from entering the vehicle. This makes the interior more comfortable and eases the load on the air conditioning in the summer months. Another significant benefit is a 99% reduction in the sun’s harmful UV rays, which are known to cause skin cancer. We see this benefit as a no-brainer for our clients.
A Perfect Fit
Driving comfort is enhanced with the addition of the WeatherTech deflectors.
The client chose WeatherTech side window deflectors for his Toyota. Unlike some deflectors that mount to the surface of the door frame, WeatherTech deflectors are designed to fit into the window channel at the top of the windows for a seamless look. This installation method also prevents the leading edge of the deflector from being caught when the truck is in a car wash. Window deflectors also allow the windows to be rolled down about an inch without the possibility of rain entering the vehicle. Their contoured shape minimizes their aerodynamic impact, so the vehicle remains quiet when you’re driving on the highway.
A Perfect Step
Entry and Exit into the Highlander is made easier with the help of the TrailFX running boards.
We installed a set of TrailFX running boards on the Highlander. The boards mount securely to the chassis and fit snugly against the truck. The front and rear edges of the running boards are tapered to let them blend smoothly with the body lines of the vehicle. Further, the polished marine-grade stainless steel accent strip perfectly complements the factory chrome on the front and sides of the truck. The running boards are constructed from a heavy-duty aluminum extrusion and feature a no-slip textured surface that makes it easier to get in and out of the truck in adverse weather conditions. The step surfaces are UV-resistant, so the steps will look great for years.
