A client from Lehighton who had worked with us before reached out to our team about adding a two-way remote car starter on her new 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. Not only did she desire long-range control, she also wanted to activate the defrost and heated mirrors when the vehicle was remote started.
We selected a Compustar remote start with the P2WT11SS remote control package for a weather-resistant remote and two-way notification of vehicle commands and status. We connected the remote start to the rear defrost, which also activates the heater rearview mirrors. These are programmed to turn on during remote start any time the weather is 42 degrees or colder, making for quick drivability in inclement weather. The LCD display on the remote confirms her commands, and she can rest easy knowing she’ll have a toasty-warm car to drive away in.
