A client from Tamaqua we had worked with previously stopped by to have us take a look at doing a few things to her new 2014 Subaru Crosstrek. She wanted to get the windows tinted to contrast with its awesome Tangerine Orange Pearl paint. She also wanted to add a long-range remote start for those harsh winter mornings.
We selected 3M Color Stable window film at 20% on the front windows to match the factory-tinted rear windows and added a visor strip on the windshield to reduce glare while driving. The deep-black tint we added matches the factory tint perfectly, so the car looks like it came with it from the factory.
We installed a Compustar remote start system and added the DroneMobile accessory, which allows full control from her smartphone with unlimited range. The included two-way remote control fobs confirm functions of the vehicle after pressing a button, and the status of the vehicle and control of the locks and remote start are always available through the app on her phone.
We even hooked up the rear defrost control to turn on if the temperature is under a certain number when the vehicle is remote started, so it is easy to drive away quickly with full visibility.
