A repeat client from Lehighton recently brought her 2011 Jeep Wrangler back to Mobile Edge for a new radio with some upgraded features. She explained to our product specialists that her factory radio was only functioning intermittently, so she wanted to take this opportunity to upgrade to a unit that would allow for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. We showed the client the options in our showroom and, after a little deliberation, she decided the Sony XAV-AX3200 media receiver was perfect for her.
We got to work on the installation by first removing the factory radio to make way for the new Sony unit. We used a vehicle-specific wiring harness and dash kit to maintain the original look and function. We added a SiriusXM tuner so the client could listen to satellite radio as well.
Once we installed the radio, we called the client and asked her to return to our shop so we could show her how to operate her new Sony radio. She was pleased with what she saw and heard, since the new radio added clarity to the otherwise-factory sound system and gave her the new features she wanted.
