A client from Palmerton contacted the team at Mobile Edge to inquire about upgrading his 2019 Dodge Durango GT with several WeatherTech accessories. He wanted front and rear window vent visors, a front bug deflector and seat back protectors. We coordinated the appointment so that this vehicle would be the first we worked on so the client and his wife could have breakfast at the diner across the street.
WeatherTech Side Window Deflectors
Our first task was to install a set of WeatherTech part number 82696 front and rear window deflectors. Unlike some units that attach to the door frame with two-sided tape, the WeatherTech design fits into the window track for a clean look. The client can roll the windows down about an inch while driving or parked to allow fresh air into the vehicle without having to worry about rain getting in. WeatherTech side window deflectors are manufactured in Germany and are the only deflectors made with a U.S. Department of Transportation-approved glazing material.
Bug and Stone Deflector
Next, we installed a WeatherTech 50206 bug and stone deflector on the front of the hood. This custom-molded aerospace acrylic component protects the front of the hood from chips, scratches, dents and stains from bugs, gravel and dirt. The low-profile design doesn’t affect the aerodynamic design of the vehicle, and the black color looks great against the black grille and headlights on this Durango GT. The deflector mounts to the hood using existing fastener locations, so we didn’t need to drill any new holes or modify the hood in any way.
Seat Protectors Keep Things Clean
These seat covers add valuable protection while also providing additional storage space.
The last step was to install a pair of SBP003CH seat back protectors. The client and his wife often have their grandkids in the vehicle, and these durable fabric protectors will help keep footprints off of the seatbacks. In addition, four storage pouches are integrated into the protectors to hold drink cups, maps, kids’ art supplies or whatever might need organizing in the back seat.
