A client from Whitehall recently contacted Mobile Edge to inquire about upgrading his 2016 Ford F-150 with a remote starter, heated seats and window tint. We talked to the client about where he parks his truck when at home and work to ensure that we would suggest a remote-control solution for the car starter that would function reliably. Next, we discussed the window film options we offer that would match the tint on the back and side windows of the vehicle. With a plan in place, we provided the client with a detailed quote and scheduled a date to do the work.
Compustar Remote Car Starter
The client chose one of our Compustar 1WR3-AM starter solutions. This system includes a pair of one-button remotes that control the vehicle door locks as well as the starter functionality. The client opted for the single-button remotes because the truck has keyless entry built into the factory fobs, and without a trunk or hatch, there was no need for additional control buttons. As always, our team integrated the starter into the vehicle using the most reliable processes available to ensure the system functions flawlessly.
Ford F-150 Window Tint Installation
Next on our work order was to tint the driver and passenger windows to match the factory privacy glass in the back window. We suggested that the 3M Color Stable film in a 20 percent VLT was a good match. The film has a nice rich, dark color, thanks to its nano-carbon construction. This film provides excellent UV protection and helps to keep the interior of the truck cool on hot summer days by reflecting infrared energy.
Aftermarket Seat Heater Upgrade
Having seat heaters to warm up the back and bottom cushions is truly the icing on the cake when it comes to warming up your car or truck on a cold winter morning. We removed the factory upholstery from the seats, then installed the heating pads to provide even warmth across the entire seating surface. The control switches for the heating pads are mounted on the plastic trim panel on the side of the seats. Because the switches are mechanical and not electronic, the client can leave his seat heater turned on and the seat will begin to warm up as soon as he remote starts the vehicle.
Lehighton’s Truck Accessory Experts
Once we had the tint installed and the car starter and seat heating systems installed and tested, we called the client to him know the project was complete. He returned to Mobile Edge in Lehighton where we showed him how to use the new systems and care for the new tinted Ford F-150 windows.
